Voluntary Education Program assists the Marine Corps community in reaching their personal and professional education goals. Through resources, training, and one-on-one support, the Education Office can prepare you for success in the Corps and civilian life.

TESTING SERVICES


A wide variety of tests are offered for MOS changes, college entrance, college credit, certification, officer programs, etc. All tests require preregistration and study materials for most tests are available at the Library.

FREE FOR ACTIVE DUTY

Coordinate with Education Office staff prior to test registration.

CLASSES OFFERED


  • Monthly 8 AM – 4 PM

This course provides detailed, hands-on training to help you apply to a college or university. Topics include: finding the right school for your career goals; learning about the admissions process; how to apply for financial aid and veterans benefits; and connecting with student veteran organizations.

  • Quarterly 8 AM – 4 PM

For those interested in going into a technical training program, apprenticeship program, or skilled vocation, the Department of Veterans Affairs teaches this two-day course that will help you identify the best career and training program for you. The class covers understanding your benefits, guides you through the application and financial aid process.

  • Quarterly 8 AM – 4 PM

The Small Business Administration conducts a two-day program on how to start and grow a small business. Upon completion of the course,  participants will be given access to an eight-week, on-line course that will help you develop a business plan. Open to all SOFA status personnel and spouses.
