Sexual Abuse Prevention and Response

Community Writer

The Sexual Assault Prevention and Response (SAPR) Program is dedicated to eliminating sexual assault through preventive education and supporting victims of sexual assault.

The Marine Corps and Department of Defense (DoD) are observing the 13th annual Sexual Assault Awareness and Prevention Month with the theme “Protecting Our People Protects Our Mission.” This theme emphasizes that every servicemember and civilian has a role in understanding and upholding our core values, regardless of grade or occupational specialty, to eliminate sexual assault. Marines and Sailors can protect our mission by ensuring everyone is committed to advancing an environment where sexist behaviors, sexual harassment, hazing, bullying, and sexual assault are not tolerated, condoned, or ignored.

Preventing sexual assault hurts one, but affects ALL. What is your role in Preventing Sexual Assault?

In the event of assault please contact the SAPR 24/7 Sexual Assault Support Line 080-5865-3566
